Christmas Concert

Does everyone remember your elementary Christmas concert/pageant??? (some of us- we had them every year... from K-12।) God bless out music teachers for trying to come up with something new for that many classes- every single year.. and that it was such a small school!!!

The nerves and anticipation- and who got solos or custume parts........and every year my poor mom (who is a professional musician with perfect pitch....) would have to sit through hours of the holiday classics, listening to class after class give their totally tone deaf renditions.... I feel for you now mom..... But it's certainly cute to watch- even if it's painful on the ears!

Tonight was G's first real Holiday concert- and she did great- tho didn't crack a single smile through the whole thing- until they were done and off stage- (she knew all the words, has been singing and practicing at home.......and sang along)- but no smiles- Nada.....

Here G and a couple of her good pals from school pose for the camera for me....

The kids' super cute and energetic music teacher, Mrs. B getting into the act with the school's principal....

Mr. B (no relation) who they think looks an awful lot like Santa in this part of the musical....

And the classic school program pose of dozens of children with that dear in the headlights look....
It was sweet and fun- they did several selections and it has a varied celebration that included Christmas, Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad and Kwanzaa. (our school is surprisingly diverse for living in the burbs!)
And the cool part- is they only do the winter musical for grades 1&2!!!!! Then they move on to public speaking and poetry and history nights!

Hope you are snuggled in tight tonight! xoox D
