After our crazy day Friday- we grabbed Dick's on 45th -- and yes.....I'm going straight to diet hell... but no trip to Seattle is complete- (in any member of my family's minds) without a trip to Dick's! Deluxe, fry and a chocolate shake..... gotta do it! Those of you you who live in the NW know exactly what I'm talking about here......
Any then we drove our utterly exhausted selves on down and out to Ocean shores. I lucked out and found a great little room for a reasonable rate at the last minute and we fell into bed and passed out after a swim in the pool.
We woke Saturday to some of the most glorious weather EVER!!!! You don't typically get weather like this in Western Washington in October- let alone on the ocean shores..... Crazy good weather!
Mom and the kids and I donned cameras and jackets and headed out into a brilliant but very crisp morning. Gabbi landed on her booty first thing in the cold ocean and was wet and itchy so we didn't stay terribly long- but did manage some fun shots.
When we got back to our room to dry off and warm up my girl Heidi and sweet baby TT came to join us. (he was still napping- see photo below-) And we went back to the beach to play. The clouds were moving in- but there was only a slight breeze and it was still warm out. It gave us some great super bright filtered light to shoot in. The kids ran and played until they just couldn't even wiggle anymore!
If you haven't been to Ocean Shores before- make the trip- it seems far the first time- but it's really not that far away- and it's wonderful. Super small and quiet little beach town and everyone was so nice!

Oh Didi, you did soooo good. Your pictures, the colors, the expressions you captured on our faces, the delight of the girls, the lighting, WOW. You captured Saturday at Ocean Shores. Thank you for the invite to spend the day with you, girls and momma. TT and I had the mose wonderful day. LOVE YOU.
love you back Heidil!
Now, wasn't that just some of the finest of times, together? Just us girls...)OH! And baby T, too....
wish it could have lasted another couple days.
Girls day.Get your favorite girls together. Add coffee, chocolate, and sunshine on the beach. Stir with vigor till totally DONE. Revive with spa time, good Washington wine, followed later with a great movie and popcorn in bed. Repeat as necessary until your smile returns.
Huggers, Momma Vic
