T-fam kiddos

I'm sipping my 2nd quad latte of the day...
Ad this post makes me giggle out loud in the quiet of my office this morning...

This session looks so sweet and peaceful- like we were leisurely enjoying a pic-nic in a meadow setting with the breeze fluttering the leaves like diamonds in the late day fall sun.... birds singing and bugs  & critters dancing in the golden grass..... The perfect recipe for photos......

{SCREEEECCCHHHHHH!}

The reality is this...
We are roadside- on a major Highway,
{don't try this at home kids... we're trained/certifiably crazy professionals}
with cars and trucks roaring by.

It was late in the day with babes that we had just roused from a sound car seat induced coma.... they were a tad grumpy with us.

There was bribery, bubbles, and cajoling.
And this session lasted less than 12 minutes start to finish because they were both in tears before during and after.....
{it took me longer to lug that fabulous chair out and back that it did for the whole shoot}
Thank goodness that audio is not included, LOL!

However- my point is... that beautiful light and locations happen in the most unexpected places- and don't stop shooting because you can capture moments of greatness at the craziest times.

T-fam- you know I love you- and I adore that you never flinch when I tell you what my crazy-arse plan is for each shoot.
You are brave and crazy and the results speak for themselves.

xoxo

Miss M

Miss M met up with me in Old downtown Everett for her senior photos with a quick stop for touch-ups after soccer practice- and she looked amazing!
She's the epitome of fresh-faced, and that kind of elegance is hard to beat!
Play hard, get dirty and have fun kid!

The B-Fam

The B-fam met up with me last month at Howarth Park to grab some quick shots before their oldest left for college and the youngest started his Senior year.....
*a whole lot of beautiful going on in this family!*

P-Fam Fun

Meet the P-Fam.
John and Allison have been in our circle of friends since.... well since before there was and "us" for my husband & me....and that = more than 20 years we've all been friends!

Allison was also one of the driving forces in my turning my hobby of photographing children into something more.

I so love watching my client families grow and change- and am so honored that my friends also come to me to chronicle their journey over the years in photos.

  The P-Fam is the All American "Boy" family.  They are very actively involved in the schools and local sports programs, Scouts, their community and they throw one heck of a traditional Patriotic 4th of July party- so their Americana shots make me smile big!

Love you guys!

{This final shot isn't my usual style- but I could help but stare at the photo and wonder what I was missing- and then it hit me.... John was standing under the bridge height marker so I had to go and look up the verse to see what it said.... and it seemed very fitting for them.}

Alex at the P-patch

Wow- how much Alex has changed since March when I saw him last!  He is so big-boy now!

I met up with Alex and his folks {sister Audry had yet to make her appearance} back in October at
The Farm in Snohomish.   What a beautiful place!

We had grand plans that day.... and our scheme was dashed by driving rain about 15 minutes into our session (weird, weird weather here in October) so we had to abandon their belly photos.
{insert pouty face here)  But I wanted to share a snip-it of the sweetness that is this family and this old soul who looks like it resides in this little toddlers eyes.  His serious, cautious and quiet nature seems to belong to someone 7 times his age.  Love that boy!
