Beautiful Brehani

Brehani is a childhood friend of my husband's. 

I've met her in person a couple of times and have stayed in touch with her via social media and we have mingled for years through a plethora of mutual friends.

 

She's super sweet, spunky, funny and a rabid sports fan- which makes me giddy happy to know that I'm not the only girl out there who loves sports!

 {and who totally understands that she who has the most bling WINS!!!!!!}

 

Every single time I see a shared photo of her- I am just speechless at how incredibly beautiful she is.

 

 Her cinnamon skin is flawless!  Her sparkling eyes give you an indicator of the warmth and love that lives in her soul and her smile absolutely confirms it!  And those perfectly pouty lips- are what all women wish for- she's a blessed individual for certain! 

Such a beauty inside and out.

 

So when she mentioned that she was coming home to Seattle for a visit- I jumped at the chance to photograph her!  She brought along her *favorite* and only Niece Mary Mattea and we had a fun time playing in downtown Bellevue in the glorious evening sun. And just for the record- M.M. 's eyes really are that color- no enhancement needed- they are crazy bright- beauty just runs in the family!

Amazing GRACE

I know that I haven't blogged in 4-EVER.... and I do apologize.... there is oodles of beautiful to share with you and I'll be bringing it your way soon!

I met with Grace and her momma last night at Edmonds Beach in some of the most sublime light EVER!

It's a rare & wonderful gift to receive as a photographer to have that kind of light, a subject who totally "gets it" when you ask her to move a certain way and a parent who gives you full creative freedom to just make beautiful happen...

I also love watching the progression of the images from the start of a session to the end... kids sort of just "grow-up" in front of my eyes.... case in point is the second set... the ONLY thing that changed was that we took away the headband and changed her lighting... and wow....

Thanks for choosing me guys- it was a beautiful way to spend the evening <3

Captivating

You know, sometimes beautiful just doesn't cover it......stunning, haunting, captivating, effortless beauty comes in all makes and models- and this little one- has "IT" ...... that quality that is grown-up and child-like all in the same breath..... the ability to just stare at you- with out really even posing- and just takes your breath away with a look that is decades beyond her real age..... eyes that suggest an old soul, a spitfire old woman who's come back as a brilliant young spark!

Miss *A* is looking at dabbling in the modeling world- and I'm sure she'll have no trouble finding work! Good luck baby! xoxo Didi ~V

Amazing Alex

Everyone- meet my niece Alexis... Alex- meet everyone!!!! Can you say stunner??????

You know- when I showed up to take Alex's senior portraits on Monday evening- I was blown away at how gorgeous and grown up she's gotten! She's always been a cutie.... but wow- clearly, I've been gone from home for far too long!!!!

This girl is on her way to Vet school- super smart- gifted with the 4 legged variety, a lifer in 4H and a trophy room to prove it! She rocks the drum line and leaves the boys drooling (tho she's far too modest to admit the last part- which- truly makes her all the more irresistible!) I know my older sis and brother-in-law are crazy proud of her- and it shows- she's a quiet rock star.

I know she'll set the world on it's ear this coming year as a senior- and in the coming years at university! Go get 'em girl- Auntie is super proud of you!!!! xoxo Di

Brandon

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to get lost on my way to meet with Brandon and his family, for his senior portrait session. And sometimes- getting lost is a good thing- I found some great new places to shoot! :)

Brandon is a serious, quiet young man- gentle and an introverted soul. Their family is a relaxed and happy one- it was fun to visit with them while we came up with our game plan for his photos.

We shot in downtown Sylvanna- which is more of a whistle stop than a town- but it had some great buildings to offer!

And when he takes his Clark Kent glasses off......check out those eyes.....WOW!

Thanks for hanging out with me yesterday- and showing me some country that I hadn't seen yet!

One more round of guys and guitars....... I am playing catch up and thought I'd share a few more of Marcos.... because there have been requests for "that hot cowboy"..... so here he is...
