Amazing Anni

Anni and her handsome hubby are dear friends of ours and I was totally honored when she asked me to help update her web driven corporate presence.  

Anni needed photos that could be the opening page to her professional web presence that gave her a crisp, polished, fashion forward look- without being stiff and boring.  

She wanted to keep her fun and eclectic style in tune with the beat of her local Seattle flavor.

We used her Lake Union neighborhood as our playground and landed some INCREDIBLE  light on a warm sunny day in January!

Beautiful Brehani

Brehani is a childhood friend of my husband's. 

I've met her in person a couple of times and have stayed in touch with her via social media and we have mingled for years through a plethora of mutual friends.

 

She's super sweet, spunky, funny and a rabid sports fan- which makes me giddy happy to know that I'm not the only girl out there who loves sports!

 {and who totally understands that she who has the most bling WINS!!!!!!}

 

Every single time I see a shared photo of her- I am just speechless at how incredibly beautiful she is.

 

 Her cinnamon skin is flawless!  Her sparkling eyes give you an indicator of the warmth and love that lives in her soul and her smile absolutely confirms it!  And those perfectly pouty lips- are what all women wish for- she's a blessed individual for certain! 

Such a beauty inside and out.

 

So when she mentioned that she was coming home to Seattle for a visit- I jumped at the chance to photograph her!  She brought along her *favorite* and only Niece Mary Mattea and we had a fun time playing in downtown Bellevue in the glorious evening sun. And just for the record- M.M. 's eyes really are that color- no enhancement needed- they are crazy bright- beauty just runs in the family!

New Season- New Look

Hey kids- the sun is shining-which means a couple of things- besides the obvious and obligatory watering and mowing of the yard.

Amazing GRACE

I know that I haven't blogged in 4-EVER.... and I do apologize.... there is oodles of beautiful to share with you and I'll be bringing it your way soon!

I met with Grace and her momma last night at Edmonds Beach in some of the most sublime light EVER!

It's a rare & wonderful gift to receive as a photographer to have that kind of light, a subject who totally "gets it" when you ask her to move a certain way and a parent who gives you full creative freedom to just make beautiful happen...

I also love watching the progression of the images from the start of a session to the end... kids sort of just "grow-up" in front of my eyes.... case in point is the second set... the ONLY thing that changed was that we took away the headband and changed her lighting... and wow....

Thanks for choosing me guys- it was a beautiful way to spend the evening <3

In the garden of good and evil.....

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I'm not sure if anyone understands the way my brain works most days.... and I'm sure that my kids certainly did not Saturday morning.... but after a little bit of prodding.... they decided to humor me.... and I'm so happy that they did....

I have wanted to go play in the gorgeous old section of the cemetery in Everett on Broadway for years..... it's incredibly beautiful- the gravestones are enormous and ornate, with wonderful moss invading the nooks and crannies.  The trees are Jurassic in size and the leaves are falling in a perfect orange and gold swirl all around on the emerald grasses.

{we paid special attention to stay on the paths and to walk the rows carefully- we wouldn't want to be disrespectful-

 just appreciative of the beauty around us there}

It was magic as far as the lighting went- sunny as the fog lifted... so it was dreamy and soft

....mmmmmm.....

And of course- I'm biased... but I got to work with two of the prettiest girls I know!

It was so funny to look back at how we spent the morning... because the rest of the day- was spent in sweaty gymnasiums in basketball gear- looking NOTHING like they had a few hours earlier....

I guess Lisa Leslie's book title says it best...

"Don't let the lip gloss fool you..."

Because they played like total rock-star jocks all day!

Meet Dave & Adrienne...

 I first met them back in 2005 when I shot their engagement photos.... and then I did their wedding photos in 2006 and have loved staying friends beyond their big day. 

I was over the moon happy when I found out this spring that they were expecting their first child- and even happier when they asked me to again journal their lives through photographs.

Not only do I love hanging out with them but they are both so gorgeous that you cant help but over-shoot because it's just so good.....

I can't wait to meet the little guy coming our way... very, VERY soon!

Meet Miss Emily- Jackson HS Senior and absolutely beautiful...

You have to love a girl who looks this flawless who shows up in purple kix and a hoodie with only mascara, liner & chap-stick-  wow!

With a look and a cool of someone much older than her teen years- I'm sure that this young lady will be a powerful force to be reckoned with in the work world.... watch out!
