Fiona's Fam at Carkeek

Oh I do love me some Fiona!

Her family is kind of awesome too... 

Her grandparents were in town visiting so it seemed a good morning for a walk on the beach to show them how fun Carkeek Park is!  

It was a super minus tide that day, so we found huge Gooey Duck shells that were as big as Fiona's head, cool rocks, small shells and endless barnacles.... it was good day!

The B-Fam

The B-fam met up with me last month at Howarth Park to grab some quick shots before their oldest left for college and the youngest started his Senior year.....

Jetty Island

A picture perfect day at Jetty Island with my girls and a bunch of their friends-

No schedule, lots of fun pic nic foods, sand toys, amazing kite surfers and plenty of sunshine

Life's a Beach...

.....And aren't we glad it's a pretty one?

I just love Jetty Island!  And it was made even sweeter with the presence of one of my favorite little girls! 

Little Adi is turning three- and all of her grandparents were in town to help her celebrate, so we decided to go to the beach for some calm, peaceful, restful, classic beach photos......

What we failed to plan on was how amazingly WINDY it was- and that the 3 year old was so completely taken with the beach that the rest of us barely existed... so any hopes of some moderately composed shots... sort of vaporized...

That said- the magic that is little kids and sand- compounded with a toddler who is surrounded by the most incredible halo of love made for the sweetest way to spend an afternoon.

Aannnndddd..... She's going to have a new brother or sister soon- so there will be even more gorgeous in this family..... I am giddy with excitement!

I'm not sure which I fell in love with first- Mommy's delicious accent, Daddy's sweet smile, or the kid's infectious smiles, curious nature or those eyes and lashes.....

In any case- it was a wonderful way to wake up and spend a morning on Edmond's beach with them

Amazing GRACE

I know that I haven't blogged in 4-EVER.... and I do apologize.... there is oodles of beautiful to share with you and I'll be bringing it your way soon!

I met with Grace and her momma last night at Edmonds Beach in some of the most sublime light EVER!

It's a rare & wonderful gift to receive as a photographer to have that kind of light, a subject who totally "gets it" when you ask her to move a certain way and a parent who gives you full creative freedom to just make beautiful happen...

I also love watching the progression of the images from the start of a session to the end... kids sort of just "grow-up" in front of my eyes.... case in point is the second set... the ONLY thing that changed was that we took away the headband and changed her lighting... and wow....

Thanks for choosing me guys- it was a beautiful way to spend the evening <3

We caught some good laughs and some  sweet light at sunset a while back at Howarth Park.

A whole lot of good looking happening in this family, that's for sure!

The Gaggle of girls

And speaking of beach photos that I am crazy behind in posting.....

{I'm pretty freaked out how fast summer came and went and how little I got out and did with my family}  Just in case you were wondering if I ever get out from behind this computer...... I did manage to grab my two daughters and my two nieces and head to Jetty Island for the afternoon with my Sis-in-law Heather.  A little pic-nic action, some photos and lots of swimming, splashing and sand... everywhere.... 

But they had fun- and so did I.

Nothing fits like family

No statement seems more appropriate to my life lately.....

I am crazy late in posting a sneak peek for my friend Kristy and her wonderful family {sorry guys!}

They finally had everyone in one spot for her dad's landmark birthday from as far away as Costa Rica! 

{you'd never believe me if I told you his age!!!!}   

It was the perfect opportunity to have me tag along for a little wine & pic-nic and play time at the beach.

We had a few posed group shots but it was more about just journaling their time together in the sun.

"Life isn't about the number of breaths we take- but the ones that take our breath away...."
