The Amazing Porter Boys

Ahhhh... those Porter Boys and those eyes {sigh...}

I know that I say it every time I photograph them- but it's true- 

I have the biggest crush on this family!

Not only are they gorgeous- but they are 

so.much.fun.

We met last month at Bothell Landing to play in the leaves 

and the rain cleared up just for us!

I think the very last photo... may be one of my favorites of the season...

-always a good reminder that in the pursuit of the 

"Perfect" photo... we often miss the perfect moments in this life.

I'm so glad we caught that moment!

Can't wait to see you in the Spring Porter family.....

Chinese New Year

Oni wanted something different this year for her birthday party- something not "little girl" .....no theme.....she really just wanted to have a couple friends over, order Chinese food and watch movies.... 

Of course I found a way to parlay that into a theme- Chinese New Year fell on 1.31.14 this year and her party was going to be on the 1st- so we called it a New Year celebration- and it was good!

Paper lanterns and twinkle lights, candles, fortune cookies and oranges on everything that stood still long enough!  The "to-go" boxes were filled with gold candies, fortune cookies, a fan and a bottle of red nail lacquer.

Her Cake was a 6 layer Ombre cake using boxed mixes of Red Velvet, Strawberry and white cake... in other words Neapolitan Cake, with scratch cream cheese frosting.

I made several dishes and ordered take out on  the ones that were above my cooking pay grade for a lovely combo of flavors.  She had a chill  time with friends watching movies and talking.... which is what she asked for in the beginning... before I began decorating.....

G-Fam Fun

I met up with the G-fam at Juanita Beach Park to catch some of the last shreds of fall color  

under the threat of rain. 

{boy am I glad the weather forecast granted me one wish!}

The G-fam came to win in their casual chic style- and they were SO chill- and so so sooooo crazy in love with their sweet boy!

I have two words concerning young Henry..... 

HEART BREAKER!!!

oHHHH eMMMMM gEEEEEEE!

The Dub-fam

Oh how I adore this family!!!  And now I get one more reason to love them....... 

Because 2+1=4 

They are going to have a new baby very, very soon!!!

{SQWEEEEEEEEEE!!!!}

Mike, Erin and Olivia joined me at Bothell landing at the bootie-crack of dawn on a very foggy morning to take a walk and enjoy the changing leaves and that turned into a great game of catch me if you can and red light/green light....

And can't think of a better way to spend a morning!

Can't wait to meet this new baby and help journal these new memories for them.
