Sweet Baby Anna

Sweet baby Anna was in town with her folks this summer and I had the privilege of
meeting them at their family's home in Bellevue.

It was such a treat to hang out with this super relaxed family- have brunch- play in the back yard and soak up the sunshine and this sweet girl's smile.

And those eyes... seriously?  O to the M to the Goodness!!!

Cio for now Bella!

BB-G fam's summer at home

Zoe & Xander have grown about two feet since their Fall session with me!  And their little people bodies have HUGE big kid personalities now!  These two keep me laughing and running.
I love going to their home and rolling around in the grass, blowing monster bubbles, talking about sports (big soccer fans), finger painting and cookies. {smiles}

Summer evening light is so sweet- and it sparkled with little bugs, tiny frogs, hugs, kisses and lots of giggles...
doesn't get much better than that!

Birthday Wishes

On the eve of her birth I sing.......Happy birthday to you.... happy birthday to me...... Happy birthday to us...... Happy birthday dear Gabbi.... Happy birthday to you!So here I am again-  two weeks later- wishing my youngest daughter a happy 12th birthday!!!  It's super cool that my girls'  birthdays are so close together- and so ridiculous that they are so close together... what WERE we thinking???  It's cool because I'm in party planning mode for two birthdays and the Super Bowl all in the same week... to that end- I'm insane and totally exhausted!I know that everyone says that they can't believe that their kids are growing up so fast... but it's really the truth.  I see her underfoot everyday as we dash to school and sports, and scrap over chores and responsibilities... and then I look across the island and wonder who the beautiful woman in my kitchen is  who's cooking dinner!  Gabs is funny and creative- athletically gifted, kind and smart- with stunning looks years beyond real age.We're so proud to be her parents and are so grateful that we were chosen to be her parents!

{ Here's a movie I made her a couple of years ago if you want to see some OLD photos...}

Happy Birthday Baby

Happy birthday to you.... happy birthday to me...... Happy birthday to us...... Happy birthday dear Oni.... Happy birthday to you.

Today marks 14 years since we welcomed this gorgeous creature into our lives.  Our miracle baby- the one we had worked so hard for and prayed so long for. She was finally here.

Oni is my heart- {her sister Gabbi is my soul}....  so vital to my existence and for so many wonderful and different reasons.  I'm so blessed to chosen as a momma!

I wish for you today Oni ~ a day full laughter and learning, hope and strength for tomorrow and joy and contentment forever.

I love you my not so little {anymore} one!

xoxo Momma

T-fam kiddos

I'm sipping my 2nd quad latte of the day...
Ad this post makes me giggle out loud in the quiet of my office this morning...

This session looks so sweet and peaceful- like we were leisurely enjoying a pic-nic in a meadow setting with the breeze fluttering the leaves like diamonds in the late day fall sun.... birds singing and bugs  & critters dancing in the golden grass..... The perfect recipe for photos......

{SCREEEECCCHHHHHH!}

The reality is this...
We are roadside- on a major Highway,
{don't try this at home kids... we're trained/certifiably crazy professionals}
with cars and trucks roaring by.

It was late in the day with babes that we had just roused from a sound car seat induced coma.... they were a tad grumpy with us.

There was bribery, bubbles, and cajoling.
And this session lasted less than 12 minutes start to finish because they were both in tears before during and after.....
{it took me longer to lug that fabulous chair out and back that it did for the whole shoot}
Thank goodness that audio is not included, LOL!

However- my point is... that beautiful light and locations happen in the most unexpected places- and don't stop shooting because you can capture moments of greatness at the craziest times.

T-fam- you know I love you- and I adore that you never flinch when I tell you what my crazy-arse plan is for each shoot.
You are brave and crazy and the results speak for themselves.

xoxo

P-fam Fall fun

Gosh I heart this family...... I have such a crush on them :)
They are just so easy and laid back- and I adore watching these boys grow and change.

Mom and daddy are so warm and tender and silly and zany and crazy all at the same time..... it's not by accident that the boys are so happy- and while crazy active-are so very easy to photograph.
We couldn't have asked for a prettier day last month for their session at Bothell Landing.

Until next time guys!
xoxo
