"In the Mood.... oh joy!"

Ba da-da-dat dat duh duh da duh de de duh..... can't you just hear Benny Goodman and his orchestra playing "In the Mood"????  Or the Andrews Sisters with "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"?
We did a little vintage nod with Tommy and Ilene as part of their 20 year anniversary and it was scream!
She loves the vintage look and he was a career Navy man- so this was the perfect combo!
We had the fabulous L. Sam Samano on hair and make-up and my girl Fi-Fi on props- add some Absolute wild tea and lemonade and a gorgeous evening.... magic!

When Somebody Loves You....

It's no good unless they love you..... all the way..... that song has been playing in my head as I finish up Rosie & Andy's "we did" session. I love photographing familiar faces- and Love, Love, Love photographing Rosie- and now that she has Andy- I find I have fallen in love with his face as well- both have some of the most unique eye color- ever- seriously- and they love that vintage-war era look as much as I do- and are always willing to play along with my crazy ideas. I just have to put your movie together and you are done kids! xoox D

We Did!

Since I wasn't available for the day they said, "I Do"....

My girl Rosie and her man Andy decided that since they are a pretty unconventional couple... that they'd like to have some unconventional wedding photos... or at least some crazy vintage/rock-a-billy type photos with Moi! Sooooo..... instead of the same ol-same ol... we shot "We Did" pix- in vintage inspired apparel and they looked fantastic!!!! We (meaning they good looking folks all gussied up with me....) got looks and whistles everywhere we went, as we traipsed throughout Sno-ho county!
Could these two be any sassier????

This next photo makes me laugh soooooooooooo hard! We were playing off the naughty housewife thing with that great vintage stove in front of the antique shop in Maltby, when Rosie turns around with this cast iron pan- and death look to match.... we decided that this would be listed under the "til death do us part" part of the vows!!!! (I'm still laughing....)

I absolutely LOVE the colors in front of the antique shop!!!!

In addition to Andy's love of his "Hottie"- he does have another love..... it's his classic '68 which is in a current state of 'Rat-rod'- but it rocks! So they did a quickie change to show off their love of their car and the local classic car club they belong to.

And as the sun began to go down- the magic happens......
Thanks so much guys- I had a ball- xoox Didi

Classics

There's something about the classic elegance of the first half the 20th Century.... that seems to never go out of style. A class- an elegance that the second half of that century will never have.....

Miss Chrisy came to me after seeing Miss Fi~Fi's, wanting something similar.....so fast forward 20 years.... and you have a very Marilyn/Norma Jean feel.

We pooled our resources on costuming and props and with the extreme generosity of my neighbor Josh who lent us his absolutely amazing '55 T-bird for some of the pix. What a fun shoot!

And talk about channeling you inner siren.... wow! She worked it!

So that's it for now- but enjoy the sneak-peak!

I had soooo much fun doing these shots- thanks so much for choosing me!!!!
